Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

The short version

Raising Bilingual(ish) doesn't ask for your personal information. There are no accounts and no logins. The site shows ads from Google, and Google uses cookies to decide which ads to show you. You can turn personalized ads off, and if you're in a region that requires it, you'll be asked first.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It's cookieless and doesn't fingerprint or track individuals across sites. It tells me things like "40 people read this post today" — never who those people are.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard server request data (IP address, browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link, the destination site (for example, Amazon) may set its own cookies to attribute the referral. That's governed by their privacy policy, not this one. See the disclosure page.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads here. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google may also use them to measure how ads perform and to limit how often you see the same one.

I don't see or control the information Google collects. To learn how Google uses it, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your choices about ads

  • Turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings. You'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your browsing.
  • Opt out of other ad companies' personalized ads at aboutads.info.
  • Readers in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used. You can accept, decline, or pick specific options. To change your answer later, use the Privacy and cookie settings link that appears on the page.
  • Readers in US states with privacy laws (such as California) can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for advertising using the link Google shows on this site, or through the Ads Settings page above.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Ads will still appear, but they'll be less relevant.

Children

This site is written for parents. It isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
